US DATA: Oct retail sales -0.3%, ex-mtr veh flat, below expectations and
following a mixed revisions in the prev two months. Mtr veh sales -1.5%
(largest drop since Aug’11), gas station sales +1.4%, while the
remaining categories -0.3% combined. Sales ex. autos, bldg materials,
and gas were -0.1% vs +0.9% in July. Commerce said it cannot quantify
impact of Sandy, but said it was able to collect data from the affected
areas with some delay.

US DATA: Oct PPI -0.2%, core PPI -0.2%, both below expectations.
Energy -0.5%, food +0.4%, while cars -1.6%, light trucks -1.5%. Core PPI
ex. cars and trucks flat.Overall PPI now +2.3% y/y vs +2.1% in Sept.
