US DATA: Q3 MBA Delinqs: “delinquency rate for mortgage loans on
one-to-four-unit residential
properties decreased to a seasonally adjusted rate of 7.40
percent of all loans outstanding as of the end of the third quarter of
2012, a decrease of 18 basis points from the second quarter of 2012
and 59 basis points from one year ago, according to the Mortgage
Bankers Association’s (MBA) National Delinquency Survey (NDS). The
non-seasonally adjusted delinquency rate increased 29 basis points to
7.64 percent this quarter from 7.35 percent last quarter. The typical
seasonal pattern is for delinquency rates is an increase in the third
quarter relative to the second quarter.
