US DATA: Redbook: “Our 20 company Johnson Redbook Same-store Sales
Index (SSI) was up 6.6% following a 2.7% gain in January and a 3.5% gain
in December. Meanwhile, Dillard’s announced it no longer reports monthly
sales results while Walgreen will report on Monday, March 5th and Rite
Aid will report on March 8th. Double-digit gainers were The Buckle,
+15%, Nordstrom, +10%, Tandy Leather Factory, +20%, and Zumiez, +14%.
Among retailers, 80% posted positive gains and 20% posted negative
results.”
