US DATA: ShopperTrak: “Retailers restocked their inventory and recovered from
busy Black Friday sales during the week after the Thanksgiving holiday.
Meanwhile, retail foot traffic increased 3.7 percent and sales increased 2.3
percent year-over-year for the week beginning Nov. 25, ending Dec. 1. This
represented a 28.8 percent decline in traffic and 22.4 percent decline in sales
from the 2012 Black Friday shopping week.” This is typical lull after TG as
budgets are reassessed.
