Republicans say repeal is a top priority

Republicans are targeting Dodd-Frank and want a repeal as soon as the late Spring are giving the US dollar a lift, according to a statement and a report.

House speaker Paul Ryan told Republicans that a top priority is financial deregulation at a retreat and Trump briefly mentioned it today. It's the first time since the inauguration that they've highlighted it as a priority.

The US dollar kicked 20 pips higher across the board as the story begins to circulate. I'm not sure it's a big surprise but it's growth positive (at least until it helps cause the next crisis).

There have been some mixed signals coming out of the new administration with Mnuchin talking about a 21st century Glass-Stegal last week.
