USD not so impressed by the "maybe a hike maybe not, it all depends" tone of the whole interview.
USDJPY 109.37 off 109.46 session highs. GBPUSD back up to 1.2825 EURUSD back up to 1.1808 with EURGBP bouncing further to 0.9209.
Says Esther George on the topic of lower than expected inflation readings:
"There may be in fact something wrong with the models. I don't know, I think that continues to be a question that many economists are asking, but I also know that what we need to look to is the long run, whether we hit 2% on the nose is less important to me than understanding how the economy is doing more generally"
