S&P up 0.12%
The major US stock indices or ending the day higher but only by a small amount. The S&P index is up 0.12%. The NASDAQ composite index rose by a scant 0.01%, while the Dow industrial average increased by 0.11%.
The good news is the major indices were much lower earlier in the day on the back of tensions from Turkeys downing of a Russian jet. The NASDAQ index was down as much as 52 points and the S&P was down around 16 points at their lows. So clawing back the losses is a result.
