Autodata says US November light vehicles sold at an annual pace of 17.2m compared to 16.8m expected. Deliveries were also up 4.6% compared to last November. Numbers from Wards were similarly strong.

Auto sales numbers are good, hard data on the strength of the US consumer and the economy. Low interest rates help but financing is far from the only consideration for a car buyer.
