Nasdaq and Dow open down -1% but seeing a little recovery.
The US stocks are off to a shakey start (but we knew it was coming).
Blame Amazon, Berkshire and JP Morgan from pressuring the healthcare stocks, but you can also put blame on higher rates, on an overbought market, on concerns about the earnings that will come out on Wednesday and Thursday including MSFT, AMZN, BABA, APPL, GOOG. FB, etc.
- The S&P is down 16.3 points or -0.57% at 2837.23
- The Nasdaq is down 53 points or -0.70% at 7414
- The Dow is down hundred and 86 point sore -0.72% at 26253
In the US debt market:
- two-year 2.116%, unchanged
- five-year 2.5%, +1.0 basis points
- 10 year 2.716%, up 2.2 basis points
- 30 year 2.975%, up 3.3 basis points
In other markets:
- Spot gold is trading up $7 or 0.53% at $1347.50
- WTI crude oil futures are down $1.06 or -1.6% at $64.50
