I have no clue why, but US yields are sprinting higher this morning.
10-year notes are up 11 bp, from 3.28% two hours ago to 3.39 bp at the moment.
USD/JPY has been boosted toward 82.80 resistance on the rise in rates.
Traders also note very sharp short-covering in USD/CAD this morning after the BOC indicated it was in no rush to hike rates despite repeatedly expressing concern over a growing consumer debt bubble North of the border.
