USD/JPY and USD/CHF had rallied earlier, not AUD and EUR losing ground more rapidly
Both have been heavy through Tokyo morning, but setting new lows for the session now as I update
There is not a whole whole lot of fresh news about. We have had AUD data earlier, hardly inspiring stuff:
- AUD - Australia Q2 Wage Price Index 0.6% q/q (expected +0.6%)
- AUD - Australia Westpac Consumer Confidence for August: -2.3% m/m ( prior +3.9%)
The moves, though, are continuations of the USD strength we are getting accustomed to.
Cable is on its session low (and lowest since around this time last year …. well Sep 2017 at least). NZD/USD has been one of the heavier ones all day.
CAD was an outperformer earlier but is reversing some of its earlier strength.
Gold …. fuggedaboud it. Lower again today.
