Philadelphia Fed Non-Manufacturing Regional Business Activity Index out a short while ago 23 Jan
- Jan 19.5 vs 29.4 prev
Firm-Level Business Activity Index Jan: 29.3 (prev 20.6)
New Orders Index Jan: 21.6 (prev 12.2)
Full-Time Employment Index Jan: -0.4 (prev 10.5)
Wage And Benefit Cost Index Jan: 29.9 (prev 33.9)
We didn't have it scheduled (it wasn't on BBG or RTS calendar either) but out it's come anyhow and given the greenback another little wobble on the headline even if new orders data looks more encouraging.
US treasuries also lower though and having an impact.
USDJPY down to 6-day lows of 110.38 in the immediate after math with GBPUSD climbing back up to 1.3965. Barriier option at 110.00 still seemingly a magnet with large vanilla expiries today behind that at 109.85
I did warn in my earlier post that GBP buyers were lurking on a few pairs and so it's proved.
Philadelphia - How do you like yours?
