White House has developed a plan to force out Rex Tillerson - report

New York Times report

Rex Tillerson to be replaced by Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State around the end of the year or shortly afterwards, according to a New York Times report.

Pompeo is the CIA director. As part of the shuffle, Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton would take over the CIA. Cotton is currently the youngest US Senator at 40.

"It was not immediately clear whether Mr. Trump has given final approval to the plan, but he has been said to have soured on Mr. Tillerson and in general is ready to make a change at the State Department," the NYT reports.
