WHO says pandemic not inevitable but must prepare

The WHO is holding a briefing on the Swine Flu outbreak saying while a pandemic is not inevitable, countries must prepare for the possibility.

All the confirmed cases seem to stem from travelers to Mexico, the WHO says, but the organization has confirmed only 79 case worldwide.

The fear is that fears of the flu could be more catastrophic than the flu itself and will hit the global economy at a moment of maximum vulnerability if people hole-up rather than going to work and carrying on commerce.
