The WTI Crude futures are settling today at $40.06 - down 3.7% on the day. The high for day extended to $41.88. The low reached $39.82. The fall below the $40 was the first since April. The price has fallen 22.9% from the peak in June. The contract is approaching the 50% of the move up from the 2016 low which comes in at $38.93.
