Obama’s nominee for US Trade Representative Ron Kirk, another tax-code challenged member of the inner circle, says the US is reviewing China’s currency practices to see if they violtae WTO rules. He said he will press China bilaterally but will not hesitate to use the WTO, if needed.
President Obama is scheduled to meet with the Chinese foreign minister today. Expect him to get a warmer welcome than Gordon Brown.
