Australian Treasurer Chalmers remarks via Reuters:
- Second consecutive budget surplus within reach
- This is not the time for scorched earth austerity
- This is not the time to slash and burn in the budget
- We will chart a responsible middle path in budget
If he is building us up like this then its likely to be a surplus. At the margin this takes some pressure off the RBA.
