China February data: retails sales beat, Industrial production beats, investment beats

  • Stronger than expected data out of China for February 2022

Earlier today the People's Bank of China left its rate unchanged. there was a small majority calling for a rate cut. The PBoC would have seen the data and .... "Nah, no cut ..."

PBOC leaves its MLF rate unchanged (a 5 to 10bp cut was the consensus expected)
