China forecasts airplane trips to be down 77% on the May Day holiday compared to last year

Forecast via China’s civil aviation regulator (Civil Aviation Administration of China - CAAC) earlier today.

• Says the total number of passenger trips during the upcoming May Day holidays will be around 2 million,
• daily trips will be around 400,000

Thus a decline of 77% compared to the same period last year.

Lockdowns and other forms of restrictions biting again. Not a positive for China's domestic economy.
