China more than doubled imports of steel-making coal from Russia in March

Many other nations moved to reduce or stop imports from Russia in the wake of its war on Ukraine.

Not China. Russian coal was bought at a discount.

And, also from China today, coal miners are trading higher, This follows State Council statenmetns that said China plans to increase coal capacity by 300 mn tonnes this year to ensure energy supplies, support coal as a main energy source and release advanced coal capacity.
