Majority of US House members voted for bill to ban purchase of Russian oil, energy sources

The vote passed with a huge majority. 414 - 17.

It was expected to so no surprise there.

The US has not been a large importer of Russian oil in recent years.

The bill also contained steps to move towards reviewing Russia's World Trade organisation status.

Bill moves to the Senate for voting after this. If passed there (which appears very likely) it'll head to US President Biden for signing into law.
