Morgan Stanley is moving 200 developers out of mainland China in response to new data law

Bloomberg (gated) with the news of Morgan Stanley moving staff out of China:

• Morgan Stanley is moving 200 developers out of mainland China, mostly to Hong Kong and Singapore, in response to a new data law

It was super easy to see this coming. From back in April:

• China's new espionage law likely to discourage foreign capital inflow, cut economic growth

And then June:

• Head of Volkswagen in China asked Premier Li Qiang for clarity on new anti-espionage law

Chinese Communist Party officials have been whining non-stop about "Westerners" trying to stifle their economy. They really need to take a long hard look at themselves and their dictatorship.
