Pentagon says does not believe Poland’s offer of MiG fighter jets "is a tenable one.”

Pentagon spokesperson:

  • We do not believe Poland's proposal is a tenable one
  • fight jets offered by Poland 'raises serious concerns for the NATO alliance'
  • it is not c;lear there is a substantive rationale for it

All these words are to avoid saying the US does not want this escalation.
