Protestors blocking the Ambassador Bridge (across the Detroit River that connects Detroit, Michigan, United States, with Windsor, Ontario, Canada) have disrupted trucking, causing truck drivers to have to divert up to four hours and taking a heavy economic toll. Auto plants have also curtailed production due to shortages cause by the disruption.
Canadian police have been clearing out the protests and the crossing is set to reopen to freight imminently.
