Reuters latest Corporate Survey has found that more large Japanese companies are now raising wages to attract workers and cope with chronic staff shortages

Japan pay has been flat for decades. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida earlier called on firms to hike wages.

The Bank of Japan will be keen for this to continue, it should help it move inflation towards the target that has eluded it for decades (apart from that transitory time sales taxes were raised).
