USD/JPY little changed after the Tokyo inflation data

  • Japanese data tends not to move the forex much upon release

The data is here:

  • Japan inflation: Tokyo CPI (May) headline 2.4% y/y (vs. expected 2.7%)

The ex food and energy core rate is less than half way to the Bank of Japan target of 2%.
