The USD is mostly lower
The CAD is the strongest the NZD is the weakest in the snapshot at the start of the North American session.
The USD is mostly lower with the exception of the NZD and JPY. The NZDUSD continues to fall (see educational video here which references the NZDUSD).
The ranges are not so great today. The major currencies are all trading well below the 22 day averages (about 1 month of trading). The one exception is the NZDUSD which is right near its average range. The pair has bounced off it's lows. The USDCAD trades near the lows for the day. The GBPUSD is bouncing off a new low today (is down 5 days in a row) and is now higher on the day. Traders may be taking a breathe after falling from 1.4376 to the low today of 1.3917.

- WTI crude oil is up $0.21 or 0.35% at $68.89. The high extended to a new multi-year high at $69.33 before backing off.
- Bitcoin is up by $395 to $9319. In the process, the digital currency has moved above the 100 day MA at $9175.70. The 200 day MA is at $9843.42
- US stocks in pre-market trading are implying a higher opening. S&P is up 18 points. The Dow is up 154 points. The Nasdaq is up 49 points
- US yields are mixed. 2 year 2.489%, up 1.3 bp. 5 year 2.8312%, up 1.0 bp. 10 year 2.98%, up 0.6 bp. 30 year 3.1426%, down -0.2 bps
