Off pr-market low levels but still in the red
The US stocks are opening in the red but with modest declines. The numbers are down, but they are off the pre-market lows from before the US GDP report.
The snapshot is showing:
- S&P, down -1.13 points or -0.04% at 2925.04
- Nasdaq down -17.46 points or -0.22% at 8101.21
- Dow -31.30 points or -0.12% at 26430.76
Leading the declines are:
- Intel, -8.4%. Earnings came in line but forward guidance was much weaker
- Walmart, -3.16%
- Exxon, -2.3%. Earnings were weaker than expectations
On the top side:
- Amazon is higher by 1.15% after smashing earnings forecasts.
- IBM is up 0.85%
- American Express +0.69%
- Caterpillar, +0.64%
