If you'd like a super-brief take on the event at Jackson Hole , or maybe the non-events is more accurate:
- Federal Reserve System Chair Janet Yellen said pretty much nothing on monetary policy
- European Central Bank President Mario Draghi said nothing on the strength of the euro
There were some reasonable expectations that Yellen would have given indications on the prospect for a December rate hike and also a September balance sheet move.
No, and no.
And for Draghi, there was a chance (expectations they were not) he'd take a swipe at knocking some strength out of the euro.
No again.
And, here we are early Monday with a higher EUR/USD
