Australian housing finance commitments for owner-occupied housing rose 2.2% s/adj in May. It rose to 63,855 from 62,483 in April and above May 2008 number of 51724. It was higher than the forecast +1.0%.
The value of owner occupied finance rose 2.3% to A$17.045 bio. Investment housing fixed loans rose 2.4% to A$5.63 bio.
