Australian PSI falls 6.1 points in July

The Australian Industry group CBA Performance of Services Index fell 6.1 points in July from a reading of 44.1 points in June. A reading under 50 implies contraction, above 50, expansion.

The survey suggests that consumers pulled back spending on retail goods, accomodation and restaurants, while business used inventories to meet demand rather than adding axtra capacity.
