{BOE Dale Sees Signs Output Growth Has Slowed In Recent Months>}

LONDON (MNI) – The pace of the UK’s economic recovery has been
disappointing and there are signs that output growth has slowed in
recent months, Bank of England Chief Economist Spencer Dale says.

In the foreword to the latest BOE Quarterly Bulletin, Dale states
that:

“The UK economy has continued to recover for much of this year
following the sharp falls in output in 2008-09. But the pace of that
recovery has been disappointing and there are signs that output growth
has slowed in recent months”.

Please see separate reports for the Quarterly Bulletin articles on
the household income survey and on sterling’s depreciation.
