The comments were allegedly made by Dimitry Peskov, Mr Putin’s official spokesman, who also is reported to have taunted about Russian oligarchs buying up Chelsea and other top London areas.
Putin is understandably keen to mock Cameron over his parliamentary defeat on taking military action in Syria, and the UK PM has of course hit back denying the accusations that he/Britain have little impact on the world stage
It’s all highly amusing but the issues at stake are a little more serious.
