Inflation up and the main components adding to inflation was education prices which jumped from 19.7% to 21.4% y/y, the highest since 1997. On a month by month basis clothing and footwear rose to 4.2% from 2.0%. Utilities were steady at 4.2% y/y. Fuel at the pumps dropped while airfare inflation didn’t fall as much as it usually does seasonally, leaving some inflation on the table. This year it fell 18.7% vs 25.2% fall last year.
