Bundesbank VP Sabine Lautenschlaeger’s appointment to the ECB will be straightforward after no other eurozone country challenged the appointment. Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem said she’s the only candidate in a letter to his country’s parliament.
Dijsselbloem is supporting her in an effort to build a hard-name-to-spell bloc in the eurozone. Sources say this guy is angling to get in the club.
