It’s that time of the month where the inflation data starts rolling in from various states. The eurzone flash number is tomorrow but we can get a good idea of how things are going with the other member states. Germany is the big one today at 13.00 gmt (CPI exp unch at 1.3%. HICP 1.1% exp vs 1.2% prior) and the states have been reporting this morning. It’s looking a wee bit soggy so far.
All these are the y/y numbers;
- Hesse 1.0% vs 1.2% prior
- Bavaria 0.9% vs 1.1% prior
- Baden Wuerttemberg 1.1% vs 1.3% prior
- North Rhine Westphalia 1.6% vs 1.7% prior
- Saxony 1.2% vs 1.4% prior
- Brandenburg 1.2% vs 1.5% prior
Belgium also released data, 0.97% vs 1.14% prior
Lithuania has slashed their 2014 forecast to 0.9% from 1.5%
