PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk has told reporters that they can cover all outstanding debts with current reserves and will comply with all of the IMF’s demands for aid. He says they are also seeking additional foreign aid to bolster reserves and stabilise finances.
With Europe and the US already stating that they are ready to help that should stave off the immediate threat of default.
Additional news that Swiss police have raided the offices of a business run by former leader Viktor Yanukovich in a money laundering probe. This comes on the back on news that billions disappeared from the Ukraine’s coffers while he was at the helm. News came from the Geneva justice ministry via Reuters
