Christopher Kent, Assistant Governor (Economic), and David Orsmond, Deputy Head of Economic Analysis, are to appear before the Australian Parliament’s House of Representatives Standing Committee on Economics Inquiry into Foreign Investment in Residential Real Estate. This should be good for a laugh; lets hope we get some xenophobic moron ignoring the data, asking stupid point-scoring questions and spouting”We’ll all be rooned! (vote for me)”.
And, we might get some thoughts from the RBA on the economy and monetary policy too (ps. the next RBA meeting & announcement is due on Tuesday, July 1)
