There are reports of a terrorist attack in Xinjiang, in the northwest of China. Xinhau reports ‘dozens’ of casualties.
The area is the home of the Uygur ethnic minority and has had some incidents in the past.
Update: The attack evidently took place on Monday morning but is just being reported now. It says dozens of civilians were killed or injured when a gang armed with knives attacked a police station and government offices. It’s very similar to the aforementioned incident.
