Bank of England governor Mark Carney makes his first keynote speech of 2016
The speech comes at at 50th Anniversary Peston Lecture at Queen Mary University, London and the BOE website says the text will be released.
That means the whole content will be known at the outset in theory (the BOE normally posts it up as the speech begins) so we should get a flurry of price action as the contents are digested.
Headlines will be printed across the wires and we'll bring it all to you with the usual analysis and trading levels.
It could all be a big anti-climax of course with Carney rightly cautious on being committed to any specifics in this ever--more-fragile global and domestic environment.
As usual UK/GBP bear and bulls will have their own take on it all anyway. Even the most neutral of comments can be given an angle by preference.
Let's see what pearls of wisdom Mr C has for us today.
GBPUSD currently 1.4308 after failing to sustain post-inflation data gains into 1.4350 as I pre-empted.
EURGBP 0.7595
Carney still has a lot to consider ahead of any hikes
