A preview of what to expect from Bank of England Governor Carney Tuesday 5 September
Much of the focus has been on whether Mr. C will make a commitment to stay on beyond his current expected departure date (June 2019):

- UK press on mounting speculation Carney could extend his stay as BoE governor
Governor Mark Carney and colleagues from the Monetary Policy Committee of the BoE will testify before the UK Parliament's Treasury Select Committee. Questions are expected of the BoE decision to raise rates while risks of a 'no deal' BBB Brexit rise. You'll recall the rate hike was supported 9-0 by MPM members, so expect question from the Treasury Committee on the path ahead given such certainty on the recent rise in rates.
