It doesn’t get much better than this folks – today the Australian Senate’s economics committee will hold a special hearing with the RBA officials “to explain their backflip on the risks associated with the housing boom and the need to put brakes on investment lending”
Got me giggling … as if our lying, pork-barrelling, bought-and-paid for respected elected leaders need any instruction at all on backflipping!
Go figure.
Fronting the clowns is Malcolm Edey, Assistant Governor (Financial System) and Luci Ellis, Head of the RBA’s Financial Stability Department. They were selected for their ability to keep a straight face.
“So … you want ME to explain to YOU how to do a backflip, right?”
“No, Senator, I’m not a lobbyist – I don’t have a paper bag stuffed with cash to give you”
The hearing begins at 2230GMT. I’ll have all the grandstanding bombast headlines as it hits the fan terminals.
