Here is a very early preview of the April 28 and 29 Federal Reserve FOMC meeting.
Its via Standard Chartered, they say of the next Federal Open Market Committee meeting (bolding mine):
- Standard Chartered expects the Fed to begin normalizing policy in September
- There is event risk at the April 28-29 meeting if the Fed, as some members suggested as per the March meeting minutes, decides to pre-warn the market of a June lift-off
- "With this possibility in mind, treasury yields and money market rates could edge slightly higher as we near this meeting but, as we've already said, we think that the Fed will both eschew a rate hike in June and any temptation to pre-warn the market in the preceding FOMC meeting."
