Yellen is also serving a separate term as Fed Governor that runs until 2024

I might not have to discard all my Janet Yellen memes after all.

It was expected that Janet Yellen would retire after Powell takes over on Feb 3, 2018 but Treasury Secretary Mnuchin had breakfast with her today and said she's thinking about staying.

"I don't think she's made any decision in regards to that one way or another yet," he said in an interview on Bloomberg Television.

That might just be a nicety but she could stay on for another 6 years as a Governor. I'd put the odds at about 5%. My guess is she cares too much about the Fed to risk being seen as someone who undermines the new Chair.
