The quiet period is over after the Fed decision on Wednesday.

Fed's Waller is on the wires saying:

  • A soft landing is a plausible outcome for US labor market

Next week the US jobs data, ISM data will give traders and Fed officials, a better look at the economy. Fed's Powell said that the rate decisions are data dependent going forward. That is not to say that the Fed is on a hike or no hike path, but 25, 50, and 75 basis points may be an option. The Fed does not meet for 8 weeks. As a result there are 2 sets of data that the market and the Fed will be able to see.
