Two in one month?
Amazon is trading above $2000 for the first time ever. The high price reached $2025.57. Apparently, the $1T market capitalization benchmark will be breached around $2050. It is getting close.
If broken today or tomorrow it will be make two companies who passed $1T in the month of August (they are the only 2 US companies). On August 2nd, Apple surpassed the $1T level when the price cracked $206. The price of Apple is now at $226.50 up 9.7% from that level.
Looking the chart, the price of Amazon dipped below the 50 day MA back at the end of March and into April. However, the price could not reach the key 100 day MA (blue line). The last time the price traded below the 100 day MA was back in October 2017.
