RBA Gov Lowe speaks at the Anika Foundation Lunch at 0305GMT on Wednesday 8 August 2018
- The title is: "Demographic Change and Recent Monetary Policy"
It is not unusual for governors to use this speech (its an annual event) to provide extra information around RBA monetary policy, so this could have some impact today. The Gov. may expand on this Statement yesterday accompanying the RBA August meeting.
The 'demographics' focus indicates (to me at least) he may comment on labour market developments (aging population impacts, immigration impacts).
There will be a Q&A to follow, also worth listening out for.
