A poll published on the weekend showed:

  • Approval rating for Mr Abbott is 43% (up 3 points)
  • Compared to the Prime Minister’s 41% (down 3 points)
  • The two-party preferred vote shows Labor on 46% (Coalition then on 54 per cent)
  • This would result in the loss of 14 seats for Labour and a majority Coalition government
