The Labour Force Survey from the Australian Bureau of Statistics is out Thursday 16 August 2018
0130 GMT
I posted these earlier:
- Employment Change: K expected 15K, prior 50.9K (a cracking result indeed)
- Unemployment Rate: % expected 5.4%, prior 5.4%
- Full Time Employment Change: K prior was 41.2K
- Part Time Employment Change: K prior was 9.7K
- Participation Rate: % expected 65.7%, prior was 65.7%
Preview via ANZ:
- We expect a more modest rise in employment in July after the 51k jump in June. ANZ Jobs Ads growth has slowed, but ongoing solid business conditions, alongside strong profitability and hiring intentions, suggest that the labour market remains in good shape.
- Further weakness in job ads or a sharp deterioration in business conditions would be concerning. We look for a rise of 10K and an unchanged unemployment rate of 5.4%
