More from BOJ governor Kuroda
- Japan is no longer in deflation
- Will continue patiently with monetary easing as there is a distance to 2% price target
- ETF purchases are part of stimulus package
- ETF purchases aren't aiming at specific price levels
- Doesn't see excessive financial activity or bubble in markets
- Will look at economy, prices when debating what to do with monetary policy
- BOJ's main goal is to achieve the 2% price target
Strong and confident words by Kuroda to dismiss talks on deflation. His comments echo that of what he said earlier in the month here.
I've noted back then that those comments are very post-BOJ meeting comments and sure enough, we're seeing the same thing here.
